Candy was a beautiful Tan colored Female Tabby cat, she wondered into my yard when she was a young 4 month old kitten on Sept.7, 1993, she was skin and bones and very hungry.We think she came from a near by farm house. She was very friendly to anyone she met.At the time I lived with my mother and she would not let me keep her.After much debating, my father decided he would take her in at his house and soon became very attached to her. Candy was very laid back and gentle natured. She kept my father good company for 14 years, she followed him everywhere and slept beside him. Last spring my father fractured his foot and was unable to walk much, Candy didn't leave his side for a entire week. She had many animal friends, Dobie, Tessie, Blaze, Blackie,and Tidwell.Candy loved to eat canned white Tuna and drink goat milk and also loved relaxing on the back porch deck everyday. We noticed a few months ago Candy had been losing weight, so we started giving her special vitamins, she was still eating well until one afternoon on August 1st after she ate a big dinner, she walked outside and passed away in the backyard, my father found her laying peacefully under a tree the next afternoon. She left just as gently as she came into our lives. I do believe she was a little spirit guide sent here to watch over my father and keep him good company. My father is very sad and we will all miss little "Candy". Look forward to seeing her again someday.
