(( FOR DADDY ))

Sometimes it's not the big stuff that makes a man a wonderful father, its the little things like being there to listen, sharing a joke, watching a TV show together. All those little things really make a difference and everyone of them holds so much love for you daddy. For every little thing and so many big things , thank you, I love you so much daddy.

Daddy was so protective and tried to look out for his two girls. He taught us right from wrong and being rich with friends and people, sharing empathy and love. Daddy liked to know people and help when he could., leaving a big tip for a waittress made him so happy, just so he could see someone smile and make their day.

Daddy was the greatest father growing up. I'm so very proud of him and proud to be his daughter. He was handsome, humble and kind. He was my buddy, Hero and best friend. We talked several times everyday and loved to go out to eat together. Daddy told me of hard times he had growing up and said he would work hard and make sure my sister Melissa and me would have a good home and plenty of food and braces for our teeth. When we were kids, daddy never minded letting Melissa and me style his hair in rollers or ride fast roller coasters with Melissa. We were daddies girls and loved him so dearly, he had such a kind loving heart. When I was small I loved being carried in his muscled arms, I felt so safe and protected. Sometimes we would stay up late to watch "Six Million Dollar Man" with Lee Majors together , he loved that show. Daddy always took time just to talk and give us a hug. he loved to clown around and give us silly nicknames and play pranks. One favorite prank was putting plastic flies on our food so he could laugh at our horrifid reactions.

Daddy had a passion for body building and weight lifting for hours everyday at home or in the gym, he studied body building books, admired the famous body builders like Dave Draper and Lou Ferrigno and took supplements . He could bench press 300 pounds at this time, daddy was invincible and powerful in all he wanted to be . Daddy inspired us both on our own natural holistic health path. Daddy however was super stubborn about his food, no one could keep him from his chili and diet coke. One of my favorite memories was him driving us to school in his 70s green Volkswagen and singing on the way to school. He loved the 50's and 60's oldies music and had a lovely singing voice . He sang "Raindrops" by B.J. Thomas, "King of the Road" and Elvis's "From a Jack To a King",Sometimes he made up songs about how much he loved us which was so special.(( I would often sing back to him that I loved him too. )) Melissa and me loved it when daddy would make breakfast and he made the best srcambbled eggs,, or he would sometimes take me for a biscuit and Yoohoo at out local 7-Eleven or he'd buy Melissa and me a ice cold Slurpee drink. Back in the 70's, we were living a dream . Daddy came to my 5th grade class once dressed in his police uniform to talk about his job and was a huge hit with all the kids , taking questions and sharing stories of his time with the Atlanta police dept. He told them about his police dog training and riding in the police car and all the exciting times he had. He told us about losing his good friend and police partner Sam Guy. Daddy loved moving to the country and having cows and land. He just got a in ground pool put in and a huge cow fell in the new pool. We had to call the fire dept. to help us get it out. It made the local papers. Luckily daddy had a good sense of humor even when dealing with life's difficulty. Daddy was always natural in front of the camera, he likely would have made a great actor or comedian.

Daddy was a big kid at heart and always wanted to find an adventure to take us on. He bought a boat and took us water skiing for a few years, and got a new job with Delta so he could take us on plane trips. Daddy was always happy to fly on a plane, his boyish smile and laugher was so winsome and joyful. He was so proud of having that job and lived in the moment of appreciating everything. Daddy was very excited to take us all to see Elvis Presley's Memphis home "Graceland" the first year it opened in 1981 on our first trip together.. Daddy loved his parents and missed that they were not there to see these good times in his life.

Daddy had a beautiful childhood and had many wonderful times with his parents, friends and brothers. His parents affectionately gave him the nickname "Sparky" that everyone knew him by. He remembered fondly playing cowboys and Indians with his brothers. Daddy also remembered his father buying their first black and white TV in the 50's , the family gathered around the TV in amazement watching "The Lone Ranger" show together. He also loved going to see movies at the drive in with them, a few favorites were "The Day the Earth Stood Still" from 1951, "Them"1954 and "The Misfits" 1961 with Clark Gable and Marilyn Monroe. Daddy delighted in taking us to see many movies when I was a kid , always watching our nervous reactions with a mischievous playful smile on his face . A few favorites were "Planet of the Apes", "Soylent Green" , "Jaws" and "Saturday Night Fever", " Grease" and "Tarzan" 1981 with Bo Derek.

Tragedy struck and sadly daddy became sick with a stroke early in life. He struggled with it and never stopped trying to regain his health, he stayed devoted to weight lifting and bike riding for years,. . Then Melissa left us and daddy grieved himself to death and really never recovered. Daddy and Melissa were so very close and had there own special bond, but daddy tried to look out for me as best he could, just sharing dinners and hanging out meant so much cause we were buddies. I loved to hear his stories, share memories and see his sweet boyish smile and hear his infectious laughter everyday. Daddy adored his son in law Larry, he was happy to watch Football games and talk about guy stuff with him, he often said Larry is" good as gold". He loved to ride in Larry's big truck. We were able to visit Florida recently and daddy dreamed about moving there but no matter how much time its never enough time to do all the things you want to do.

(( Daddy's Final Tragic Capter and Unwavering Fighting Spirit of "Samson" ))

Daddy became sick with a bladder infection and was staying with me in recent months and getting better enjoying his therapy, but the doctors were careless and unconcerned in helping him, leading us on a dead end path to nowhere . We were given horrible advice to leave an indwelling catheter- " a bacteria bag" on daddy which became infected 3 times aggravating his heart. The 3rd infection lead us back to the ER, although it cleared and daddy was eating and coming home in the next days. I made a fatal mistake in trusting the doctor who gave my daddy an X-ray" contrast dye test", for no reason, with in an hour of the dye my daddy suffered an "allergic reaction" to the dye causing his neck to swell and fuilds to build, blood pressure to drop. I learned later It is well known to not be given to elderly with heart issues, with out my knowledge they also loaded him with an assault of laxatives, diuretics and powerful opioids causing dehydration stressing his body even more. The hospital Doctor let daddy lay for 5 days while his heart worsened with a hard blowing Bipap, over oxygenating his lungs, and he had little to eat, then conveniently test positive for Covid $$, they are known to get huge payouts for this also. Meanwhile, daddy was still trying to do his therapy exercises from his bedside his last few days of life,.This Doctor told me over and over my dad was old anyway . Daddy passed in my arms at 6:50am, as a beautiful sun ray beamed a bright light from a window over his sweet face. As tears were falling, the uncompassionate arrogant doctor was devoid of any humanity with empty eyes told me "he was old anyway, asking to go home". He twisted my dad's words. Daddy had been asking to come home to his family and cat Linda for days. It is all still unbelievable. Daddy is so precious to me , I'm ashamed I put him in this kind of danger with poor decisions. I did know in recent years the medical field had become more corrupt and quality of care my daddy received was lowered to that of a "Third World" country. Sadly we may be victims of the times we are in.

I know they did not know how great a person he was and how special he is to me, but he deserved so much better than the way they treated him, as if he was a worthless - medicare cash cow. I don't know why there is so little respect for elderly , he is a modern day sweet gentle "Samson" in the evil times we are living in. I wish I would have protected him more, as he had always protected me. by the time I figured it out, it was too late. Daddy was my world. Now I've seen all the dreams slip away. I wake up to brokeness and a nightmare everyday. It does not matter how much time passes the pain is always there. I miss him so much already. I'm grateful I got to experience such a wonderful father and sister and will live for the day were all together again, if God will give us all a 2nd chance. Daddy, sorry I failed you and I love you and Melissa both with all my heart , wait for me with Melissa. Forgive me daddy , I love you.
