"Mrs. Carrie A. Child, wife of Amasa Child, died at the family home in West Decorah on Tuesday last, at 4 p. m., aged 34 years.
Deceased was a daughter of Andrew Haugen of Canoe township, and married Mr. Child Dec. 12th, 1890. To them were born three children. Her illness was of a dropsical nature and brief duration, although in failing health for some time. It developed into serious apprehensions but a few weeks ago, and last Friday she visited the physicians at the well known hospital at Rochester, Minn. They gave her no encouragement, and she came home.
Funeral services will be held at the United Lutheran church to-morrow (Friday) afternoon at 2:30 o'clock."
