"Death of Amasa Child's Son.
After an illness lasting scarcely more than twenty-four hours, James Amasa Child, the five-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Amasa Chlld, of West Decorah, died Tuesday morning at eight o'clock. He had not been feeling well for several days but was up and about as usual. Monday morning his illness became more serious and Dr. Woodward was called. He found the child suffering from membraneous croup and in spite of all he could do the little life could not be saved. Mr. and Mrs. Child have the sympathy of a large circle of friends in their affliction. The funeral will be held to-day at 2:30 o'clock and the remains interred in the Phelps cemetery. "
