McCOOLE — Courtney Henry Beckman, 82, of McCoole, died yesterday shortly after being admitted to Potomac Valley Hospital in Keyser.
Born near Oakland, he was a son of the late George R. and Elmira (Wonderly) Beckman. His wife, Stella Lee R. (Gower) Beckman, preceded him in death. Mr. Beckman was a retired employe of the Luke mill of West Virginia Pulp and Paper Company and was a member of Local 676, United Paper Workers.
Susrviving are three sons; Franklin E. Beckman, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Willis Beckman, McCoole, and Leo C. Beckman, Westernport; a daughter, Mrs. Gordon Ternent, Lonaconing;
two brothers, Isaac Beckman, Oakland, and Alonzo Beckman, Tunnelton; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
The body is at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, where friends will be received from 2 to 4 p. m. and 7 to 9 p. m. Services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p m. at McCoole Presbyterian Church by Rev. Raymond W. Gau, pastor of Piedmont Presbyterian Church.
Burial will be in Philos Cemetery.
