Kenneth Gale Falkner , age 80, died Saturday, September 30th, 2000, in Littleton, Colorado. Born July 19, 1920 to Elmer and Virginia Wetzel- Falkner in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Ken was a member of the LDS Church. He retired from Chevron Oil Company in 1977.
During World War II he served with the American Volunteer Group (AVG), China Air Task Force, 14th Air Force and Received a field commission to Second Lieutenant. He was a lifetime member of the Flying Tigers of the 14th Air Force Association. Ken separated from his service in 1945 as a First Lieutenant.
Ken is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Renee' Falkner ; daughter, Linda and her husband, Doug Wood; son, Dennis and his wife, Lori; granddaughters, Meisha, Becket, and Ginger; his great-granddaughter, Laney; and his sister, Irene Jentzch. Preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Lisa; his twin grandsons, Jared and Corey; his loving parents, Elmer and Virginia; his brothers, Clifford and Eddie.
Grave side services Thursday, October 5th, 10:30 a.m., Salt Lake City Cemetery, 4th Ave and N Street, Salt Lake City. Friends and family may call at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Salt Lake City, on Wednesday 7-9 p.m. and also on Thursday one hour prior to the services.
