Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have walked many cemeteries in my area, large and small, and have taken thousands of photos that I am diligently working to get added to the site. It is a work in progress and one day I just might get them all posted! :)

I will be happy to add additional information or make corrections to memorials I maintain. Please use the Edit tab on the memorial to send your info to me and I will update. I transfer all memorials within the four-generation rule. I do not link to "burial unknown" listings.

My added vs. managed memorials difference is quite large because I manage many memorials transferred to me from a now inactive member. I work on these daily to update with info and add photos.

Please do not copy my photos to other websites (including Ancestry) without my permission.

photo request
May I have your permission to use the photo you have for Adam and Louise Flory (# 31362835). Adam was a cousin of my grandmother's.
This is from an obituary:
ADAM FLORY, 77, DIES NEAR CITY

Adam Flory, 77, charter member of the painters' union, died at 11 o'clock yesterday morning at the home of his son, Lewis, six miles south of the city. He was a member of local No. 90

Mr. Flory, who was born in Germany, came to America at the age of 17 years and to Springfield in 1876. He is survived by two sons, Fred and Lewis; four daughters, Mrs. Lena Manning, Mrs. George DeSpain, Miss Caroline Flory, and Mrs. T. J. McBreen. There are eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren also surviving. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later.

from IL State Journal, April 9, 1929, p. 3

Our family stated he worked on painting the IL statehouse interior (ceiling?) He was born in Hesse Darmstadt Germany. His wife was Louise nee Vogel, my notes say born Bavaria.

Thank you. I plan to "connect" children's memorials to Adam and Louise as I find them.

decline
Yes, I did not read Claribel Deruy's obituary, just her brothers so I assumed they had the same mother. Thank you for pointing that out to me.

RE: Edw/Lida Bennett photo request
Thank you. I was guessing at the relationship. With the information you have provided, it is not him. I hope I did not ask you to link the two memorials. My guess is that I asked you to photograph them both so I had more information. I do know she is buried there however, and he is the only Edward Bennett listed to far. I will call and get the exact location for Lyde and let you know. Thanks again.

Norman Erasmus Jewett
Thank you for your addition. Norman was my GG Grandfather. His obit also states he was run over by a street car while visiting Chicago. Are you related?

Thank you
I appreciate your help in making the case for 1865 as the actual birth year. Thanks for the photo.

RE: Thank you
I only have today's backlog. We were in Winchester which is kind of far away, but last time I missed someone's great Grandmom and wanted to go back and find her (we did!!) on way home saw the Auburn request and that's "our" cemetery so we pulled in, luckily on the correct road! I know for sure there are a lot more then 2900 graves there, just no time to check. Connie

RE: Thank you
You are very welcome, it was our pleasure. We got lucky, pulled in the older section, and there he was! Good day. Best Wishes, Connie and Wayne
