I've loved walking through cemeteries since I was young, looking at names and dates and thinking about who these people were ... their stories, their histories, their happy times and heartaches. Combine that with my love of genealogy, and Find a Grave was a great find for me! My family surnames include Perry, Tomlinson, Bray, Brittain, Main, Cole, Warren, Cooke, Mullen, Gilbert, Philippi, Fisher, Montgomery, Hendricks, Welker, Tumelson, Neal, Jones, Grosshart, McMorris, Rogers, Stallings, Walters, Ivens, Parker, Doty, Randall, Walker, among many others. Some of those, I don't know much about, and some I know a lot. But I'm making progress

As I visit cemeteries and occasionally try to fill a photo request, I also add memorials for people I find for whom no memorial has been created. I do this out of respect for who the person was, with the hope that it might help someone searching for more information about a family member. If you have a request for an edit or would like to have a family member's memorial transferred to you (if they're not my family), just contact me through the Edit Memorial button. No guarantee it'll be done in a day, but certainly within a week or two (depending on how hectic life is at any given moment), I'll make sure it happens!
