Bio

I never had the opportunity to have a relationship with my father or his family growing up and I really didn't have a relationship with him after I was grown and married with children. All contact with him was diminished when his 4th wife Janet K. Butterfield Bergmann had passed away in 1994.My search began in 1999 after my father, William David Bergmann (William Orville Floyd, Jr) had passed away. I started with trying to find my half siblings. At the time the only source I knew of to search for them was google. I was fortunate enough to find them on myspace. Once I had found them in 2008, I had put everything else on the back burner until 2012. I started my genealogy searches with my husband's maternal side which was pretty easy. From there I searched for his paternal side which has been pretty difficult as is mine, especially the "Floyd" side. As for the "Tuttle" it has been pretty easy with the exception of "Am I really related to the Tuttle Family of New England". Surnames: Bass, Bergmann, Bradford, Brown, Cassin (Cassen), Ellis, Floyd, Keen, Moore, Nicholas, Polley, Stebbins, Summerfield, Tuttle, to name a few. 3 May 2021 Update As of January 2020 I had done my dna with 23&me and have downloaded to Gedmatch FTDNA and MyHeritage. Still searching for the mysterious Floyd and Brown lines of Macon Co Illinois. Resources: Family Search, Ancestry, Find A Grave and Google to research my information.Any and all assistance would be greatly appreciated.
