Copyright: Original works (photographs and writings such as biographical sketches) are protected by copyright as soon as placed in "fixed media". Only the creator has the right to decide where to publish; all others must ask permission.
It is not a matter of sharing; because it is being shared on this site. Rather, it is common courtesy and respecting the time and effort that has allowed you to see the grave or to read a good bio.
Photographs and Bios: My original written and photographic works are protected by copyright. You may link to memorial and/or photos but do not republish on any other web-site (including Ancestry family trees). Unless otherwise noted on the memorial itself, the biographical sketches on the memorials I create are original writings and are not "free for the taking".
Transfers: Follow all the steps in the guidelines.
Corrections: Received suggestions are made, if valid, within the allowed 30 days. Repeated SACs for the same memorial with the same info will be pushed to the bottom of the queue. Links to burial unknowns will not be made.
Note: Abstracted lists (such as census, death index, etc.) should be formulated into full sentences prior to submitting for adddition to the bio (biography = life story).
Abbreviations: For clarity, it would be greatly appreciated if suggested bio additions / corrections not contain abbreviations. While the abbreviation may seem obvious to you, it may not be obvious to others. Example: WA in the United States indicates Washington while in Australia it indicates West Australia.
FAQs: According to Admin AJ "The FAQs *absolutely* detail site policy and all members are expected to follow them and abide by them." SACs are sent whenever a FAG policy infraction is seen. If not corrected within the allowed 30 days, it is submitted to the admins (per the FAQs).
