Conducted Burnside Avenue Business for 27 Years; Ill Four Months

Emile Bartholomy, 57, bakery proprietor for 27 years, and a well-known resident of the Social district, died last night at his home, 336 Dulude avenue, following an illness of four months. He was born in Jefferson, North Dakota, July 19, 1878, a son of Michael and Delima (Lavallee) Bartholomy, and came to this city with his parents when two years of age.
He was educated in the schools of this city and conducted a bakery at 327 Burnside avenue for 27 years. The shop is now conducted at Brunetti's Bakery. Mr. Bartholomy continued in the retail bakery business until about a year ago, when he retired because of ill health.
Besides his wife, Enedine (Dusseault) Bartholomy, he is survived by two sons, Conrad and Normand Bartholomy; five daughters, Mrs. Leo Frappier, Mrs. Philip Lebrun, Mrs. Olivier Lebrun and Mrs. Wilfred Chartier; one brother, Isidore, all of this city; and three sisters, Mrs. Charles Larose, Blackstone, Mrs. Daniel Jalbert and Mrs. Olivier Tellier, Woonsocket. Eight grandchildren also survive.
Mr. Bartholomy was a member of the Union of Prayer of St. Ann's parish.
The funeral will be held Thursday morning at 8:30 o'clock from his home, with a solemn high mass of requiem at 9 o'clock in St. Ann's Church. Burial will be in Precious Blood cemetery.
