Funeral services for Elsie Gaskamp Seilheimer, 78, of 405 W. Academy St., Brenham, Texas, will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in Zion Lutheran Church of Zionsville with Pastor Will Bigott officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under direction of Brenham Memorial Chapel.
Mrs. Seilheimer died Aug. 15, 1986 at 2:31 a.m. in a local hospital.
She was born March 10, 1908, in the Zionsville community of Washington County, Texas, the daughter of Henry and Sophie Stegmann Gaskamp. She was baptized Aug. 9, 1908 in Zion Lutheran Church of Zionsville by Pastor Karl Mueller and was confirmed March 25, 1923 in the same church by the same pastor. Mrs. Seilheimer attended Washington County public schools. On Nov. 8, 1928, she was married to Alvin Seilheimer in Zion Lutheran Church of Zionsville by Pastor Karl Mueller.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Zionsville.
Survivors include her husband, Alvin Seilheimer of Brenham; two sons and daughters-in-law, Alton and Erna Seilheimer of Brenham and Wayne and Doris Ann Seilheimer of Brenham; daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Roy Haarmeyer of Conroe; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Louis and Malinda Gaskamp of Brenham and Alvin and Emma Gaskamp of Brenham; sisters, Selma Reddehasse and Lillie Steinfeld of Brenham; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter.
Pallbearers will be Nelson Wayne Seilheimer, Ricky Allen Seilheimer, Roger Dale Seilheimer, Mike Ray, Carl Merzl, Daren Haarymeyer, Bart Wayne Seilheimer, Kurt Seilheimer, Steven Dahlquist.
