Nelson R. Boss, 54, supervisor of the Flemington office of the Farm Home Administration, died yesterday at his home, Milford, R. D., after an illness of several months.
As head of the the Flemington office of the FHA, Mr. Boss was in charge of granting loans to farms in the counties in this section of northwest New Jersey.
Mr. Boss was born in Milford, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Cole Boss, of Milford. He was a member of Milford Presbyterian Church, Orion Lodge 56, F. and A.M., of Frenchtown.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his wife, Darthea Decker Boss, a daughter, Jeanne, two sons, Nelson R. Jr. and Henry D., all of Milford R. D.; one grandson, a sister, Mrs. James H. Galloway Sr., of Spring Mills, N.J.
Masonic services will be held tomorrow at 8 p.m. in the Johnson funeral home, Frenchtown. The funeral will be conducted on Monday at 2 p.m. from the funeral home with the Rev. K. Palmer Miller, D.D., pastor of Milford Presbyterian Church, officiating. Interment will be in Milford-Union cemetery.
