Henry D. "Chub" Boss, 79, of Holland Township, NJ passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at the Mary Ellen Convalescent Home in Hellertown, Pa. Born: On October 28, 1928 in Trenton, NJ, Henry was a son of the late Nelson and Darthea Decker Boss. Personal: Henry was a life long resident of Holland Township and he owned and operated Bossland Farm there. He and his beloved wife, the former Shirley Hackman, ran the dairy farm together for over 42 years. He was a loving father and grandfather. He enjoyed auto racing and was an avid outdoors man. He especially liked hunting and trap shooting. Memberships: Henry was a member of the New Jersey Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation and the National Rifle Association. Survivors: Henry is survived by three sons, Henry Cole II of Kansas, Roger William of Montana, and R. Howard of Lower Saucon Township, Pa; his sister, Jeanne Dalrymple of Holland Township; nine grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, his wife, Shirley, passed away in 1997, and his brother, Nelson R., passed away earlier this year. Services: Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Holland Township. Interment will follow at the Milford Union Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials: Memorial contributions may be made to the National Rifle Association, P.O. Box 420648, Palm Coast, FL 32142.
