Nelson Reading Boss Jr., of Holland Township, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at his son's home in Holland Township. Born: On May 31, 1927 in Trenton, NJ, Nelson was the son of the late Nelson R., Sr. and Darthea Decker Boss. Personal: Nelson's wife, the former Marion Bunn, died in 1993. He lived in Holland Township most of his life and was a wildlife control officer for the New Jersey Division of Fish, Game, and Wildlife in Clinton, NJ for 31 years, prior to retiring in 1989. He served in the Merchant Marines during World War II. Nelson was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping, gardening, and tying fishing flies. He was a loving father and grandfather. Memberships: Nelson was a member of the New Jersey Trappers Association and also of the National Rifle Association. Survivors: Nelson is survived by two sons, Edward H. Boss and his wife Lisa of Bradford County, Pa, and Neil R. Boss and his wife Debra of Holland Township; two daughters, Gail Cooper and her husband Joseph of Holland Township, and Kimberly Snook and her husband Ronald of Easton, Pa; a brother, Henry Boss; a sister, Jeanne Dalrymple, both of Holland Township, and six grandchildren, Abby, Avery, Austin, Aaron, Nelson, and Katrina. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Peanut. Services: Will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Holland Township. Visitation will be Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Milford Union Cemetery in Milford, NJ.
