Graveside services were held at Maple Hill cemetery Saturday morning for Mrs. Bessie R. Rogers, 95, of Geff.

Mrs. Rogers died at 11:40 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, 1991, at her home from causes incident to her advanced age.

At Geff Since 1952

She had lived at Geff since 1952 but before that lived in Jasper Township for many years.

Bro. William Shelton officiated at the graveside service. Johnson Funeral Home handled arrangements. There was no visitation.

She was born in Elm River Township July 18, 1895, the daughter of Jacob and Etta Levi McCormick. She attended schools in that township.

In 1914 she was married to Clarence Rogers. He passed away in July, 1955.

Mrs. Rogers was a member of North Side Baptist Church.

The Survivors

Surviving are two sons, Delbert of Ashland, Mont.; and Ernest of Fairfield, two daughters, Mrs. Frank (Leona) Gardner, Fairfield; and Mrs. Bill (Anna) Richards, Fairfield; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, and one sister, Flossie Farmer, Fairfield.

Preceding her in death were her husband, her parents, three sons, one daughter, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
