A son of Mark Umholtz Schreiber (1899-1964) and Lillie Irene Klinger (1900-1987).

Siblings: Dorothy Mae, Mark Otis, Charles Edward, Ethel Irene, John Albert, Edith Ann, Cora Jane, Ray Melvin, Loretta Marie, Myrtle Jean, Calvin Carlos, and Robert Franklin Schreiber.

To our knowledge, he was married twice. His first wife was Sarah Elizabeth Ebert. His second wife was Dolores Louise Underkoffler.

Children: I have been told that with his first wife, Sarah Ebert, he had a daughter, Gale Maureen. With his second wife, Dolores Underkoffler, he had a son and daughter, Deborah and William Schreiber, Jr.
