George Ransome Hudlow was my great-uncle and the brother to my grandmother, Amanda HUDLOW Arnold.

He was born the eighth child of fourteen children and was two years younger than my grandmother. He went by the nickname of "Rance".

His parents were William Wright Hudlow and Eliza Jane GAROUTTE Hudlow and he was the grandson of paternal grandparents, William Beaver Hudlow and Margaret WILLIAMS Hudlow, along with maternal grandparents, Isaac Garoutte and Martha Jane SMITH Garoutte.

Great-uncle George Ransome was married on November 24, 1909 to Nellie DUNLAP, daughter of Thomas and Ellen KING Dunlap. They were married in Greenwood, BC Canada.

They were blessed with children, the oldest of whom was Bertha Belle, followed by Leon Floyd, and then, Lester Thomas.

Great-uncle George Ransome Hudlow was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, who preceded him in death by four months.

His survivors included his children, grandchildren, and several siblings.

He was very much loved and missed by his family and all who knew him.
