Nettie Luvada was called Vada by all of her family and friends. She was a sister to my grandmother, Amanda HUDLOW Arnold, and she was the fourteenth and last child of William Wright Hudlow and Eliza Jane GAROUTTE Hudlow.

Her grandparents included William Beaver Hudlow and Margaret WILLIAMS Hudlow along with maternal grandparents, Issac Garoutte and Martha Jane SMITH Garoutte.

At age 17, Vada married Oliver Sylvester Claybrook, son of Christopher and Mary Jane WRIGHT Claybrook. They were wed on December 5, 1909 in Oak Mound, Missouri.

Vada and Oliver spent their, brief but very happy, married life together in Ozark County, Missouri and she became the mother to one son, Everett Hayden Claybrook, and one daughter, Floa Velma Claybrook.

Sadly, just one month before her 21st birthday, Vada died leaving her husband alone to raise their children without her.

Great-aunt Vada was very much loved and missed by her husband, children, her mother, and the 12 brothers and sisters who survived her.

She was preceded in death by her father; William Wright Hudlow and one sister; Anna Victoria HUDLOW Callison.
