The Bulloch County native was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a
retired truck driver, a member of Woodmen of the World Lodge 1770 and an emcee
at local bluegradd festivals.
Survivors include his wife, Bertha D. Parrish, Brooklet; one daughter, Linda P.
Morris, Eden; five brothers, Walter A. Parrish, Newport News, Va., W. H.
Parrish, Brooklet, James E. Parrish, Ellabell, and Herman Parrish and Willis
Parrish, both of Eden; six grandchildren and one great-grandson.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the chapel of Hodges-Turner Funeral
Home, with the Rev. Billy Stanley officiating. Burial will be in Ash Branch
Primitive Baptist Church cemetery.
