Thank you for posting the information for Thomas Madison Claxton, and family members. When you have time, there is one correction -- his first wife was Laura Reed (1845-1874), and not much is known about her or when/where they were married. Thomas & Laura had two children, Jennie L (1870-1953) and James Thomas (1873-1956). My family line comes from Jennie L Claxton, who was my great-grandmother.
Thomas M Claxton then married Rebecca Ophelia Shaw on 24 June 1879. This marriage produced at least 4 more children, Walter M(1881-1952), Oscar F (1883-1959), Lee P (1891-1966) and Aden D (1893-1894).
There is a family history book, "Here's To Daddy Claxton, Hiram Madison Claxton, His Descendants and Related Lines, 1817-1995", written by Wanda Claxton Warehime, published in 1995, that provided these details.
If you were interested, I would be happy to share with you more information and photos from the book. A copy of this book is located in the Tulsa Oklahoma Public Library.
