Yvonne was the oldest of five children born to Stephen Auclair (born in France) and Caroline Letu (born in Canada of French descent). She was born in New York City. Her family moved to New Jersey and then to Michigan by mid 1920s. She married John 'Jack' Devlin 23 Jan 1927 in Harbor Beach, Michigan. They raised six children in Flint, Michigan. Yvonne died of lung cancer in Ruskin, Florida, where she is buried.
