Daughter of Benjamin Colvin and his second wife, Louisa [maiden name unknown], Cora had one sister, Mary, and two half-sisters, Alice Lorissa and Hancy E. Colvin. Charles, an older half-brother, during the Civil War.

She and her husband, James Aylward were the parents of two known children, daughters Lois Grace and Marion E.

Alyward, Mrs. Cora E., Mio, Michigan

Passed away at 5 p.m. Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Elgin Whaley, Mio. Age 86 years, Cora Colvin was born March 5, 1867 in Brant, living in this vicinity her entire life. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Elgin Whaley, Mio; Mrs. Edward Miller, Carrollton, five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Walker Funeral Home, Chesaning. Rev. Allen Gray will officiate with burial in Brant Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 12 noon Sunday.
