Mrs. Margaret Isabelle Denton,80, died at 7:30 a.m. Saturday at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Floyd Walton, 1200 Salamonie avenue, after an illness since Monday.
Mrs. Denton was born in Jefferson township January 25, 1865, to David and Susan Rinehart Welker. Her marriage March 21, 1883, was to James Milton Denton who died October 9, 1936. One son, Emerson Denton and a grandson, Virgil Denton, are dead.
Surviving are a son, Isom Denton, this city, three grandchildren. Mrs. Doris Walton and Mrs. Rosemary Rautenkrantz, this city and Walter Denton, Andrews; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. Josephine Taylor. near Warren, and Mrs. Amanda Bendow, Gas City.
Mrs. Denton was a member of the Plummer Chapel church.
The body was returned to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Walton where friends may call.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Church of the Brethren with the Rev. P. Virgil Harris officiating.
Burial will be at Lancaster cemetery.
Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Isabelle Denton were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Lancaster Church of the Brethren with the Rev. P. Virgil Harris of this city officiating. Music was by Mrs. Vera Coles, vocalist, with Mrs. Betty Dolby at the piano.
Flowerbearers were Rosemary Rautenkrantz, Dorothy Green, Phyllis Denton, Carolyn Denton, Norma Young and Carol Denton. Pallbearers were Arthur Richardson, Jack Krisher, John Taylor, George Musser, Gerald Martin and Austin Enyeart.
Interment was in Lancaster cemetery.
