Abigail Caroline (Moore) Frederick was born to Benjamin B. Moore and Sarah (Randol) Moore on the 29 April 1857 in Iowa County, Iowa (possibly in Fillmore Township, as the family is found living there in the 1860 US Census). She was the ninth child out of twelve children born to Benjamin and Sarah Moore. Abigail with her parents and siblings moved to Missouri and later to Clyde, Cloud, Kansas. Abigail had seven brothers and four sisters (all who lived to adulthood).

Abigail married William Henry Frederick on 3 October 1875 in Colfax Township, Cloud, Kansas. Two children were born to Abigail and William:

1. Jessie A. Frederick
2. Frank Marvin Frederick

Jessie, their daughter, married William Edward Brown from Fairbury, Jefferson, Nebraska. Jessie later divorced him. Frank, their son, married Myrtle E. Montgomery.

In 1897, Abigail helped take care of her mother Sarah Moore, who was very ill. In 1898, her mother moved in to the Frederick home and Abigail cared for her dying mother until the day Sarah Moore died.

Abigail was active in her church. She joined the Belleville Baptist Church in 1894 with her daughter Jessie.

She later died on 14 March 1928 leaving two children, two grandchildren, two great grandchildren, one sister, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Much of this information comes from Abigail's obituary; which is found in The Belleville Telescope newspaper, dated Thursday, 22 March 1928. And other information comes from research.
