Eadeth Mae Van de Veer (also spelled Vandeveer, Vandever, Vandevere) was the daughter of Florence Ann Nelson and William Franklin Clarence Vandeveer and married four times:

1) 25 Aug 1903 - Edward Harrison Carpenter [b. 1884, d. 1918]
Had issue: Leo L. Carpenter, Lawrence Lorenzo Carpenter, Florence Eleanor Carpenter, Ralph Edward Carpenter, Ronald W Carpenter, and Lois Catherine Carpenter.

2) 23 Nov 1921 - Zenas Franklin "Frank" Martin [b. 1876, d. 1956]
Had issue: Dorothy Nercella Marie Martin (middle names unconfirmed).

3) before 1935 - Walter James White [b. 1896, d. 1959]

4) ca. 1945-1952 - Claude Eaton Cheatum [b. 1896, d. 1952]

Eadeth M. Cheatum died yesterday at a local convalescent hospital following a long illness. She was 93 years old. Mrs. Cheatum was born Nov. 10, 1996 at Bayard, Kansas. She was raised in Bayard and came to California in 1931. She first settled in Healdsburg then moved to Vallejo in 1933. She lived tehre 19 years before moving to Napa in 1952 to be near her daughter. Mrs. Cheatum was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church, Keystone Chapter OES and Vallejo Aucilliary of the Eagles. She is survived by her daughters, Mrs. Albert (Dorothy) Wurz of Napa, and Mrs. John (Lois) Winthrop of San Diego; two sons Ralph Carpenter of Monroe, Wash., and Ronald Carpenter of Poulsbo, Wash., as well as 27 grandchildren, 63 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Friends are invited to attend memorial services Friday at 3pm at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 1226 Salvador Ave. The Rev. Ralph Bolin will officiate. Private interment will be Tulocay Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Richard Pierce Funeral Home. The family suggests that memorial contributions to be given to the Covenant Presbyterian Church Memorial Building Fund. Three children predeceased Mrs. Cheatum.
