Dean, Manda Mahoney

A homemaker and resident of Dothan, Ala., she died Friday, April 7, 2000 at Flower Hospital, Dothan, after a brief illness. She was 94, born Jan. 5, 1906, in Duck Hill, Miss., and lived the early years of her life there. Visiting at Welsh Funeral Home, 6700 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, from 10 a.m. until religious services at 1 p.m. Monday, conducted by Dr. John Goodwin . Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survivors include a son, Billy Mahoney, Baton Rouge; a daughter and son-in-law, Betty and George Wilson, Dothan; nine grandchildren and spouses, 18 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and two nieces. She was preceded in death by her husbands, William Mahoney and Joe Dean. She was a member of Istrouma, Baptist Church, Baton Rouge, for 45 years, a member of First Baptist Church, Dothan and Order of the Eastern Star. She was a resident of Baton Rouge from 1948 until 1991, when she moved to Dothan. Byrd Funeral Home, Dothan, in charge of Alabama arrangements.
