Woodstock -Mildred L. Bond nee Torman, 91, of Woodstock died Saturday, April 29, 200, at Valley Hi Nursing Home.
She was born Oct 30, 1908, in Marengo, to Henry and Eva (Mead) Torman. She attended Marengo Community High School.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and the Gray Ladies of the Red Cross.
Mrs. Bond is survived by her daughters, Eva (the late Harry Snell of McHenry and Nettie (Richard) Bartlett of Belvidere; a son, Clyde (Charleen) Jr. of Mokena; daughters, Betty (Darwin) Sawallisch of Wonder Lake, Mary (William) Picton of Dairyland Wis., Dixie DeLong of New York, Judy Ann Setser of St Louis and Sally (Thomas) Burmeister of Woodstock; a son, James (Ruth) Bonf od Huntley; daughters Janice (Robert) Newman of Woodstock, Kathie (Roger) McIntyre of Rogers, Ark., Linda (Richard) Hoyt of Woodstock and Susane (William) Connor of Woodstock; 41 grandchildren; and 38 great-grandchildren.
She was preceeded in death by her husband, Clyde Bond Sr.; her parents; a daughter Mildred and Frank Sennett; a son, Robert Bond; two brothers; two sisters; two grandsons; and three greatgrandchildren.
The visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 1, at McHenry County Memorial Park Chapel, Routes 14 and 47, in Woodstock. She will lie in state from 10 a.m. Tuesday May 2, until the funeral at 11 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 1300 Kishwaukee Valley Road, Woodstock. Burial will be in McHenry County Memorial Park in Woodstock.
