Stanisław (Laddie) Kruś was baptized on November 15, 1891 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Garrett, De Kalb County, Indiana. This record and his death information were found in the St. Joseph church records on microfilm at the Fort Wayne Main Library's Geneology Center.

Stanisław was the first born of Michael and Mary (Bajeńska) Kruś of Garrett. His other siblings are in birth order: Johanna (Jenny) Johnson, Helen Rothwell, Veronica Gingery, John and Francis (Frank). His nickname was "Laddie" per his niece, Margaret.

Laddie was only 9 months old when he died. There is no gravemarker, however he is buried in the SE section in the back row near Mary Senger's grave who died on Oct 13, 1892. The church records list other infants and Mary Senger that died around the same time frame and are all buried at St. Mary's Cemetery (now known as Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery) in Auburn, Indiana. Father Young, priest at St. Joseph in Garrett, Indiana at the time, buried Laddie and donated his grave lot to his parents, Michael and Mary. Father Young had purchased a few lots when the cemetery was new and would donate these lots to families that had financial difficulties. Since Michael and Mary were newly emigrated from Poland, they had not acquired much savings by the time of Laddie's death.
