Mrs. Leuvenra Bishop Adams, 95, of Brigham City, died Sunday, Jan, 15, 1984, after a short illness.

She was born Oct. 11, 1888, in Murray, a daughter of John R. and Emily Stringer Bishop.

She married John Adams on Jan. 23, 1907, in the Logan LDS Temple. He died May 23, 1961.

She and her husband developed land in Box Elder County, Pocatello Valley, Hanzel Valley and Promontory, before moving to Brigham City in 1918, where she has resided since.

She was a former member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and had been active in the auxiliary organizations of the LDS Church.

The Brigham City John Adams Park was named after her husband.

She is survived by four daughters and two sons, Mrs. Grover (Eva) Harper, St. George; Mrs. LaVerne Evans, Ogden; Mrs. Jack (Mildred) Harper, Honeyville; Mrs. Wilma Johnsen, Corinne: Rex Adams, Tremonton: Ray Adams, Brigham City; 22 grandchildren, 82 great-grandchildren and 79 great-great-grandchildren.

Also surviving is one sister, Mrs. Ray (Mae) Merrill, Preston, Idaho.

She was preceded in death by one son, Myron Adams.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Olsen Funeral Chapel, 205 S. lst E., where friends may call Wednesday, 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday, one hour prior to services.

Interment in the Brigham City Cemetery.
