Ray Adams, 82, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2006 at his home in Brigham City, Utah. He was born on January 13, 1924 in Brigham City, Utah, a son of John and Leauvenia Bishop Adams. He served in the US Army during World War II in the European Theatre, Patton's 3rd Army, 4th Armored Division. Ray married Donna J. Potter on May 17, 1948 in Tremonton, Utah. He was an Elder in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Ray was a successful dry farmer and cattle rancher in Promontory, Utah and Arbon Valley, Idaho. He enjoyed fishing, fly tying, snowmobiling, and being with his grandchildren, great grandchildren and children. Surviving is his wife, Donna of Brigham City; four children, Douglas Ray (Barbara) Adams, Brigham City; Robert A. (LuAnn) Adams, Brigham City; Marilyn (Joe) Hillam, Perry; J Phillip (Fredee) Adams, Brigham City; 17 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, Nathan, Ryan, Brooke (Matthew), Natalie; Tena (Destry, Austin, Adam, Jenna), Bobbie Ann (Sydnee), Ben, Don, Collette (Danny); Jennifer (Sally), Brett (Kaylee, Ryan, Morgan), John (Joshua, Hannah, Cannon), Kate; Marisa, Andrea (Ashton, Ava), Shaun, Ashlee. Also surviving is his twin brother, Rex Adams of St. George, Utah. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Myron Adams, four sisters, Eva Harper, LaVern Evans, Mildred Harper and Wilma Johnson. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 10, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Brigham City 4th Ward LDS Chapel, 25 North 300 East. Friends may call on Thursday, March 9, 2006 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham City, Utah and on Friday at the church from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery, where military honors will be accorded by the VFW Post 1695 Honor Guard.
