Washington, UT - Rex Adams, 82, passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at his home in Washington, Utah. He was born on January 13, 1924 in Brigham City, Utah a son of John and Leauvenia Bishop Adams.

Rex married Ruth L. Archibald on May 18, 1943, and were sealed in the Logan Temple.

He served in the US Navy during World War ll on the USS Darke a troop transport and medical ship.

He was High Priest in the LDS Church and served in the Washington 6th Branch.

Rex was a successful dry farmer in Promontory, Utah and Arbon Valley, ldaho. After retiring from farming, he assisted in the pIanning and development of Belmont Springs Resort, Plymouth, Utah. He was the Box Elder County Building lnspector from 1977-1989.

He served as the Box Elder County Rodeo Chairman and rode with the Box Elder County Mounted Posse. He enjoyed golfing, square dancing, water skiinq. horses, four wheeling and being with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and children.

He is survived by his wife. Ruth of Washington; three children, Kathleen (David) Willis, Eureka, CA, Kenneth Rex (Annette) Adams, Tremonton, UT and Mary Ann (Dennis) Jackman, Highland, UT: nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Myron Adams and Ray Adams (twin); four sisters, Eva Harper, LaVern Evans, Mildred Harper and Wilma Johnson.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 2, 2006, 11 a.m., Washington 6th Branch Chapel, 650 E. Telegraph, Washington, UT. Visitations will be held on Sunday, October 1, 6-8 p.m. at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 W. St. George Blvd.; Monday, October 2, 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Washington 6th Branch Chapel.

Friends may call on Tuesday, October 3, from 10-11 a.m. at Brigham City 4th Ward Chapel, 25 North 300 East in Brigham City G, Utah.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, October 3, 11:30 a.m., Brigham City Cemetery, Brigham City, Utah.
