Dr. Robert C. Russell, 64, of 2224 N. Rapids Rd., Manitowoc, died Monday morning, Nov. 21, at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc.
Private family funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. Rev. Glen J. Siferd will officiate. Graveside military services will be accorded by Amvets Post No. 99.
Dr. Russell was born Jan. 16, 1922, at Morris, Minn., son of Elma Marlow Russell and the late Carl Russell. Dr. Russell was a Veteran of World War II, serving four years with the United States Navy in the Pacific Theatre. He married Gloria D. Zwalsh June 7, 1952, at Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Russell graduated from the University of Minnesota with a B.S. Degree and was a graduate of Michigan St. Veterinarian School in 1957. Dr. and Mrs. Russell moved to Manitowoc in 1959 when Dr. Russell established the Manitowoc Animal Hospital. Dr. Glenn Popp was his associate.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Gail and Mark Moynahan of Anaheim, Calif., Tara and Gregory Muske of Decatur, Ill., and Erin Russell of Manitowoc; his mother, Mrs. Elma Russell of Minnesota; four brothers, Maurice Russell, James Russell, Stanley Russell and Daniel Russell of Minnesota. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 6 o'clock to 9 o'clock this Tuesday morning. Memorials may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church.
