Austin C. Maxwell, 51, died at his home a mile west of Darlington at 4:45 o'clcok Tuesday morning. Death was due to a complication of diseases. Born July 17, 1889 in Montgomery County, he was the son of Alex and Minnie Maxwell. He was married to Effie Evans at Crawfordsville on Nov 11, 1916. Survivors include 2 sons, Marvin and Raymond, both of whom are stationed with the Indiana National Guard at Camp Shelby, Miss; his aged mother, Mrs. Minnie Maxwell; of Darlington; 8 brothers, Clarence of Champaign Ill, Fred of Mechanicsburg, Laurence of Anderson and Walter, Ellis, Jack, Ralph and Beryl all of in or near Darlington, and two sisters, Mrs. Carrie Hopkinson of Anderson and Mrs. Amie Williams of Darlington. Funeral services will be held at the So. Christian Church in Darlington Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock Rev. CP Strawmyer in charge.
