Clyde Walter Frank of Harvard, died Friday, December 16, 1994, at the Harvard Rest Haven, at the age of 77. Services were held December 21, 1994, at the United Church of Christ with the Rev. James Taylor officiating. Burial was in the Harvard Cemetery.
Clyde, the second of four children of Walter & Herta Frank, was born August 5, 1917, on a farm north of Harvard. He was a 1934 graduate of Harvard High School. On December 23, 1939, at the age of 22, he married Flora Belden. They farmed in the Eldorado area and retired to Harvard in 1982. They were the parents of two children: Linda & Clyde. He was a member of the Harvard Masonic Lodge #44 A.F.A.M, Chapter #70 Order of the Eastern Star, and the Hastings Scottish Rite. He served on the Clay County FmHA Board, the Eldorado School Board, and was past-president at the Harvard Farmers Union Co-op Elevator Board of Directors. He was preceded in death by his father Walter Frank and two sisters Marilyn & Verla. Survivors include: wife Flora of Harvard; daughter Linda (and Don) Bruning of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; son Clyde, Jr. (and Diana) of Eldorado; mother Herta Frank of Harvard; sister Beulah (and Warren) Wagner of Giltner; and four grandchildren--Lori & Michele Bruning of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and Ryan & Alan Frank of Eldorado. Alberding-Wilson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
