Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Monday, October 24th at the United Methodist Church in Giltner. Rev. Larry Michael-Rush will officiate. Interment will be in the Giltner Cemetery. OBITUARY: BEULAH WAGNER
Beulah Jean Wagner, the daughter of Walter K. and Herta (Blumer) Frank, was born in Harvard, Nebraska on October 15, 1922 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on October 17, 2005, at the age of 83.
Beulah grew up in Clay County and attended Country school District 41 and graduated from Harvard High School in 1939. She taught country school for two years; one year near Edgar and the other year north of Giltner. Beulah worked at the Cessna Aircraft Factory in Wichita, Kansas.
Beulah was united in marriage to Warren Soward Wagner on June 13, 1942, at Wichita, Kansas. They moved back to Giltner in 1945 to farm. Warren and Beulah farmed until 1972 when they bought Giltner Hardware, where they worked until they retired in 1987. Warren and Beulah celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on June 13, 2002. Warren passed away on July 1, 2002.
Beulah was a member of the Giltner United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, the G.G.G. Extension Club and Greenwood Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; son, Richard Wagner, daughter-in-law, Joy Wagner; two sisters, Verla and Marilyn Frank and a brother, Clyde Frank.
Those who remain to cherish her memory are her two children, Walter (Barbara) Wagner of Snohomish, Washington and Carmen (Ken) Samples of Batavia, Illinois; 7 grandchildren, Erin (Mikel) Tidwell, Matthew Wagner, Trevor Wagner, Mitchell (Jacquie) Samples, Angela (Jeff) Marciano, Heather and Samantha Wagner; 3 great-grandchildren, Hazel Samples, John and Emily Marciano and sister-in-law, Bonnie Rudy of Giltner.
