EAKLY-Funeral services for Mrs. Ella Kuykendall were held at 2:00 p.m. on July 19 in the Church of Christ in Alvord, Texas. Mrs. Kuykendall was 91 years of age. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roe, last May 21. He was 93 years of age.
The Kuykendalls were the parents of the late Bruce Kuykendall of Carnegie. Bruce's widow, Fannie and son Kenneth still reside at Carnegie.
The Senior Kuykendalls were the parents of eleven children; Jim and Theodore Kuykendall of Alvord; Mrs. Claude Blakley and Mrs. Beulah Hodge and Mrs. Lillian Wilson, all of Alvord; Mrs. Beuna England of Wichita Falls; Oscar Kuykendall of Harlingen, Texas; Paul Kuykendall of Indiana.
Three children preceded them in death. They were Lula, Josie and Bruce. Besides their children they were also survived by around 250 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Kuykendall's sister, Mrs. Minnie Gaskins lives in Carnegie and another sister, Mrs. Maggie Walker lives at Altus.
