Mrs. Mertie Lee Bennett died April 10 at the Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital. Services were held Saturday from the Eskridge Church with Rev. W M. Hull officiating.
Interment was in the Oakwood Cemetery under the direction of National Funeral Home of Grenada.
Mrs. Bennett was born May 26, 1884 in Mississippi and was married in 1900 to John Pat Bennett who predeceased her.
She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Allie Mae Perry, Mrs. Blanche Adair, Mrs. Annie Lee Blakely all of Winona, Mrs. Lena Blakely of Duck Hill and Mrs. Goldie Blakely of Greenwood; two nieces, Mrs. Mattie Collins and Mrs. Emma Mortimer both of Winona and 29 grandchildren; 66 great-grandchildren and 1 great- great-grandchild.
