Services for John "Pat" Bennett, who died Tuesday at his residence north of Winona after an extended illness, were conducted at New Hope Church Wednesday afternoon, December 10, at two o'clock, with Rev. F. O. Martin of Batesville officiating. Interment was in Oakwood Cemetery with National Funeral Home of Grenada in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Bennett, who was 75, was born and lived in Montgomery County his entire life. He was a Baptist.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Myrtie Lee Webb Bennett of Winona; one son, S. E. Bennett, Holcomb; five daughters, Mrs. Allie Mae Perry, Mrs. Blanche Adair, and Mrs. Fred Blakely, all of Winona, Mrs. Goldie Blakely, Grenada, and Mrs. Winston Blakely, Parchman; 27 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
