Annie Lee Blakely

Mrs. Annie Lee "Sammie" Blakely, age 82, resident of Winona, died of cancer Monday, October 31, 1994 at her residence.

Mrs. Blakely was the widow of Fred Blakely. She was a homemaker and a member of Eskridge Baptist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Mary Lee Flint and Mrs. Barbara Jean Johnson, both of Winona, and Mrs. Dorothy Faye Sullivan of Greenwood; five sons, Bernard Shed Blakely of Delta, Louisiana, and John Pat Blakely, Homer Ed Blakely, Jerry Clifford Blakely and Harold Ray Blakely, all of Winona; her sister, Mrs. Lena Blakely of Duck Hill; 38 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 2, at 2:00 p.m. at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. W.M. Hull officiating. Burial followed in Oakwood Cemetery.

Grandsons of the deceased served as pallbearers.

Oliver Funeral Home of Winona was in charge of arrangements.
