Richard E. Woznick, age 72, of 414 Chicago St., Manitowoc, died Friday, Nov. 5, 2004 at his residence. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon on Monday, Nov. 8, 2004 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Dave Hoffman will celebrate the Mass with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc, with military graveside rites accorded by AMVETS Post #99 of Manitowoc. Richard was born May 5, 1932 in Manitowoc, son of the late John and Emma Wingate Woznick. He graduated from Manitowoc's Lincoln High School in 1950. He was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps serving from April 8, 1951 until April 9, 1955 being discharged as a Staff Sergeant. On Sept. 5, 1959, Dick was married to the former Maureen L. O'Hearn at Holy Innocents Catholic Church in Manitowoc. Maureen preceded him in death on Feb. 16, 1998. Dick was a route salesman for Dick Brothers Bakery retiring in 1989. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and in the past was an active Mass server and usher. He was also a volunteer driver for the American Red Cross. Survivors include one son: Kevin Woznick of Manitowoc; three daughters and two sons-in-law: Kim Woznick of Manitowoc; Kelly (Michael) Zimmer of Manitowoc; Karen (Jeffrey) Patterson of Manitowoc; one granddaughter: Maureen Patterson; three stepgrandsons: Benjamin and Cameron Patterson; and Grant Zimmer; one brother and two sisters-in-law: William (Anita) Woznick of Melbourne, Fla.; Lorraine Woznick of Manitowoc; one sister and brother-in-law: Mary (Thomas) Hoffman of Manitowoc; three brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law: Leo (Margaret) O'Hearn of Oxnard, Calif.; Jack (Alberta) O'Hearn of Maple Grove; Francis Kerscher of Manitowoc; Bernice Grall of California; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends survive. He was preceded in death by two brothers: Vernon Woznick and John D. "Jack" Woznick. Relatives and friends may call at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at noon. The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Manitowoc is serving the Woznick family.
