John T. Woznick, Sr., age 94, a resident of Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc, died Monday, January 20, 1997, at the care center.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. William Zimmer at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 23, 1997, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.

He was born December 31, 1902, in Brown County, Wis., son of the late Joseph and Katherine Grusznski Woznick. He married Emma Windgate, May 18, 1925, in Manitowoc. She preceded him in death on January 7, 1973. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Survivors include five children, Jack (Lorraine) Woznick, Richard (Maureen) Woznick, Mary (Tom) Hoffman, all of Manitowoc, William (Anita) Woznick, Vernon Woznick, all of Florida; 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Marion (Hiram) Shimek, Milwaukee, Helen Martin and Elizabeth Blohavlak, all of Green Bay; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, three brothers and one sister.

Friends may call at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of mass.

The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

A special thank you to all the staff at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center for their kind and gentle care of our father.
