Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, November 22, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Hartington, with Rev. Jeffery Loseke officiating.
Burial will be in the St. Michael's Cemetery in Hartington.
Visitation will be on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., with a rosary at 4:30 p.m. and a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. at the church. Visitation will be on Friday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Wintz Funeral Home in Hartington. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Saturday at the church.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Casey Rossiter, Patrick Rossiter, Scott Schrempp, Brad Schrempp, Corey Frantz, Teague Frantz, Trey Rossiter, Sonny Albers and Guy Albers.
Rhea was born on August 10, 1914, at Decatur, NE, to Ferdinand and Mary (White) Schmiedeskamp. She grew up in Walthill and Wayne, NE. She graduated from Walthill High School in 1930 and then attended Wayne Teachers College where she received her Teaching Certificate. She worked as a social worker in South Sioux City, NE, until she married Vincent E. Rossiter Sr. on August 5, 1935 at Pender, NE. They moved to Hartington in 1937.
Rhea enjoyed playing cards, dancing, golfing, camping and traveling. She was an accomplished piano player and belonged to several bridge clubs. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church and Guild, Catholic Daughters of America and the Christian Mothers.
Rhea is survived by 6 children and their spouses; V.E. Jr. and Joyce Rossiter of Hartington, Don Rossiter of Hartington, Phyllis and Leon Schrempp of Yankton, Carol Rossiter and Steve Sturek of Macon, Georgia, Max and Roberta Rossiter of Fresno, CA, Mary Beth Rossiter of Boulder, CO, 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and a sister; Mary Sue and Merlyn Weddingfeld of Hartington.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Vincent, on September 25, 1990, at the age of 76, a daughter, Greta Frantz, two brothers, Ray and Max Schmiedeskamp and a sister, Clare Summers.
