Obituary: Claire Summers
Summers, Claire F. Dec. 10, 1920 Dec.27, 2002 A resident of Los Angeles County since 1945, and of Long Beach since 1979, Claire was preceded in death by her husband, Harry J. Summers, and her brothers, Max and Ray Schmiedeskamp.

She is survived by her children, Sandra Robison (Jon), Mary Tetreault (L.N. "Tate"), James Summers, Paul Summers, Craig Summers (Sandy), Barbara Nicholson (Tim), Robin Klemp (James), Douglas Summers (Joni) and Scharmel Watanabe (Ross). She is also survived by two sisters, Rhea Rossiter and Mary Sue Weddingfeld (Merlyn), and two sisters-in-law, Joyce and Maryann Schmiedeskamp. She had 23 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren (and another on the way).

She was working at Little Company of Mary Hospital in Torrance more than 20 years, and was a member of St. Cyprian Church in Long Beach. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America by calling 18005327667, or by logging on to www.msaa.com and clicking on "Make a Donation".

A rosary service is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Friday, January 3, 2003, and a funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on
Saturday, January 4, 2003 both services will be held at St. Cyprian Church, 4714 Clark Avenue, in Long Beach.
