Arthur "Art" R. Pixley, 55, of West Salem, died at 6:42 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2007, at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney due to a vehicle accident in Parkersburg.

Mr. Pixley was born November 18, 1951, the son of Earl and Emily (Winters) Pixley. He married Katherine Perry on September 30, 1972, in West Salem. She preceded him in death on April 22, 2004.

He was a mechanic for SLM Trucking and was a member of Lancaster Church of Christ.

Mr. Pixley is survived by his father, Earl Pixley, of West Salem; daughters, Elizabeth "Beth" (Gary) Hicks, of Cisne, and Sherry Pixley, of West Salem; sons, Jerry Pixley, of Olney, and Chad Pixley, of Taylorville; sister, Cindy Sechrest, of Bridgeport; brothers, Robert Pixley, of West Salem, and Wayne Pixley, of Olney; grandchildren, Caleb Pixley and Hunter Pogue; and four step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine, his mother and one brother.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Ingram Funeral Home in West Salem.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Moravian Cemetery in West Salem.
