Andrew F. McElwee, 68, died Thursday at his home 431 Warman Street, Larksville, following a lengthy illness.

He was a son of the late John and Sarah Miller McElwee and had been a resident of Larksville several years. Mr. McElwee was a member of Larksville Mountain Full Gospel Church and had been employed by Louis Cohen and Sons Scrap Yard, Hanover Township, for 31 years, retiring in 1977.

A World War II veteran he served with the U.S. Army in France and was awarded the Bronze Star. He was a member of Shawnee DAV Post 32, Plymouth.

Surviving are his wife, the former Priscilla Sims; a foster daughter; Linda Melodick, at home; sisters, Mrs. Amelia Pugh, and Mrs. Catherine Madajewski, both of Hanover Township.

Funeral will be Monday from Williams Funeral Home, Plymouth with services by Rev. W. Hettinsheimer. Interment will be in Ceastown Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday.
