On November 26, 1902, Edith Isabelle Perry is born in Strawberry Plains, Knox County, TN to Wilt Mathias Perry ("W.M. Perry") and Sarah Jane Oglesby of Knox County, TN.


In 1915, at age 13, her father dies of consumption.


In 1921, at age 19, Edith marries John Ephraim Alexander and they live with her husband's family per 1930 US Census.


During her lifetime, Edith and John have five children in 14 years, one son (Louie Lee) and four daughters (Faye Elizabeth, Lovada Ruth "Kay," Helen Bruce and Mildred Louise "Michelle").


In 1942, at age 40, Edith moves to Vancouver, WA and marries her second husband, Mark Maynard in June 1944. During their married life, they live at 2204 Simpson Avenue and she is a homemaker.


On November 11, 1983, at age 80, Edith dies living at 505 Washington Street (Smith Tower Apartments) in Vancouver, WA.
