Doris E. Becker, of Hanover, formerly from York, died March 15, in Hanover.
She was the daughter of the late Leo and Estella (Hufnagel) Lawrence, and the wife of Mervin L. “Junie” Becker. They were married 54 years.
Mrs. Becker retired from Sylvania Shoe Co., McSherrystown. She was a member of Sacred Heart Basilica, Edgegrove.
Besides her husband, survivors include: two daughters, Diana Rhodes, McSherrystown, and Beverly Hockensmith, Abbottstown; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Leo P. Lawrence, Hanover; two sisters, Criselda L. Klein, Littlestown, and Leona E. McIntyre, New Oxford.
Pre-deceased by one daughter, Catherine Becker; one sister, Catherine Zumbrum; one brother, Leon Lawrence.
Pallbearers were: Emily Weaver, Scott Weaver, Sigmond Hockensmith, Tracy Long, Dannielle Kale, Matthew Kale, Ronald Long, Jacob Long, Cliff Bair and William McIntyre Jr.
