Leo P. "Pete" Lawrence, 67 of Hanover, entered into God's eternal care, Thursday, March 1, 2007, at his home. He was the husband of Jolene M. (Brady) Lawrence, his wife of 25 years.
Born Aug 3, 1939, in Hanover, he was the son of the late Leo J. Lawrence and Estella (Hufnagel) Lawrence.
He was retired from Sylvania Shoe Company after 25 years of service, and Vulvan Materials after 15 years of service.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Basilica in Edgegrove, and the McSherrystown Fish and Game Association. He was a life member of The McSHerrystown Home Association, and the C. W. V. in Bonneauville. He was also a veteran of the Army serving during Vietnam.
Surviving are 5 sons, Pete Lawrence Jr. of Hanover, Troy Smith of Colorado, Broc Lawrence of Hanover, Tim Storms of Hanover and Tom Storms of New Oxford; two sisters, Leona McIntyre of New Oxford and Criselda Klien of Littlestown; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased in death by two sisters, Cahterine Zumbrum and Doris Becker; and a brother , Leon Lawrence.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 12:30 p.m. Saturday, March 3, at Sacred Heart Basilica, Edgegrove, with the Rev. Lawrence J. McNeil offriciating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Edgegrove, with full military honors provided by the Hanover Allied Veterans Guard.
