Jeanette Byer 68, of New Lebanon, Ohio formerly of Crossville passed away Oct. 20, 2001. Funeral services were conducted Oct. 23 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral HOme with burial in Hedgecoth Cemetery. Bro. Billy Smith officiated. Jeanette was born Dec. 18, 1932 in Cumberland Co. the daughter of Garfield W. Hedgecoth Sr. and Alta Loouise Young Hedgecoth. She was a factory worker for General Motors and of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her sisters and brother-in-law Alice Hedgecoth, Ester Tollett, Genese Hale, Katherine and Paaul Justice, Kaye and David Shillings and Faye and Lamar Green all of Crossville. Joyce and Vaughn Parker of Memphis, Tn. brothers and sister-in-law Garfield Hedgecoth Jr. and Margaret of Harriman, Tn., Jimmy Ray Hedgecoth of Crossville and good friends Harold and Joyce Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Clifford "Sonny" Byer and sister Reba Winninghan. Pallbearers were Mrs. Byer's nephews Billy Winningham, Jerry Tollett, Monty Shillings, Steve Green, Andy Goss, Herthel Hale Jr., and Joey Tollett.
